Our Mission
Fiesta Flutes of San Antonio is a nonprofit ensemble of adult flutists dedicated to sharing the joy, artistry, and versatility of flute music with our community. Founded in 2005, we bring musicians together to inspire audiences through engaging live performances across genres, while fostering a welcoming, supportive, and encouraging environment for adult flutists of all skill levels.
About Us

Fiesta Flutes of San Antonio would not exist without the initial efforts of founder Mary Hegdal. (center holding bass flute)
Our membership consists of active and retired educators, medical professionals, military service men and women, full time parents, business men and women, therapists, consultants, and travel agents who enjoy meeting on Thursday evenings during the academic school year to rehearse music for various performances throughout the year. The skill level of the members ranges from novice to skilled professionals. Members must be at least 18 years of age and out of high school. There are no required auditions to become a member of the organization.
